Frequently Asked Questions
What is Pressure Cleaning?
Pressure Cleaning is a directed stream of hot or cold water. Preferred Pressure uses equipment that discharges at five gallons per minute, using pressure up to 3500 pounds per square inch. In professional hands, pressure cleaning equipment is an efficient, effective cleaning alternative, often saving money over more labor-intensive methods. For specific cleaning and stain removals, the addition of specialized cleaning compounds may be added to your cleaning process. Call us today, to schedule your free estimate!
How can Pressure Cleaning help our property?
For handling difficult cleaning tasks like Driveways,
storefronts, dumpster areas, patios, parking areas, loading docks, and more, you
need a pressure cleaner. It is the preferred cleaning method for removing gum,
spills, graffiti, mold & mildew, pollution residue, grease, oil leaks, and more.
Our equipment is mobile and self-contained so it can be used in areas that do not
have water or electrical connections.

Why does the Wastewater need to be recovered?
To prevent pollution to our natural bodies of water,
Federal, State and Local laws mandate Wash Water recovery if water generated
from pressure cleaning will enter the storm drain system. Once it enters, it would go
untreated and pollute our waterways with a variety of contaminates that were
both washed away from your surface and picked up while flowing to the storm
drain. The use of biodegradable cleaners is no exception to evade recovery.
Taking care of your property is a big responsibility,
and it does not end at your property line. If wash water recovery is not done,
the soils that were washed away are waiting to be tracked back onto your
surfaces. The addition of wash water recovery to your pressure cleaning service
is a win-win situation. You will not be cited by Governing agencies for
violation of the Clean Water Act, which may result in hefty fines, and you are
helping to preserve our waterways from harmful contaminates, plus you will have
a clean property that will stay cleaner for a longer period of time.

Why Clean Concrete?
Concrete is a porous surface that requires deep cleaning. The frequency of
cleaning is dependant on your area and amount of use. We clean Residential, Commercial, and Industrial areas.
A residential area will usually see much less use than than the commercial & industrial settings, and a once a year cleaning is usually sufficient for most homes, unless you have a specific problem area.
Commercial & Industrial areas, generally see much more foot & vehicle traffic per day than one in a
residential area. Appearance is a major concern for all types of areas, but
keeping up appearances in a commercial & industrial area requires cleaning more often.
Maintenance cleaning is done on a regular scheduled basis to remove light
soiling and spots and to keep concrete looking its best. It requires less time &
less overhead for producing quality results. This is the most cost effective
type of cleaning & will extend the life of the concrete, while helping you to
look your best.
Restoration cleaning is not done on a regular basis & may need to be more
aggressive. It takes more time & may require the use of stronger cleaning
solutions & process steps to remove heavy soil buildup. Concrete cleaned on this
basis may not have a long service life. The cost for a restoration cleaning can
be higher, depending on surface condition.
A scheduled maintenance program is the most cost effective way to keep
concrete clean and get the most useful life & aesthetically pleasing look from
it. We can prepare a maintenance schedule for your location, which meets your
service needs. You will be reminded that a service is due and we will
schedule it for a time that meets the needs of your location.

We have our own pressure cleaning equipment, how can we benefit from your service?
Our equipment is top of the line. We use industrial
machines, made specifically to tackle tough cleaning tasks. Our units are
capable of water temperatures up to 210° and a discharge rate of 5 gallons per
minute. Our unit is mobile and self-contained, so that we can operate in areas
that do not have a water connection.
Using hot water, we can usually eliminate the use of
soaps and chemicals that would be needed when using cold water alone. In
addition, just having the equipment is not the answer, since it takes a
trained person to use this tool correctly.
Commercial locations usually require after hours
cleaning, and this may pose a problem when you try to find an employee trained
in the proper use of the machine, and willing to come in early or stay late.
Preferred Pressure will gladly take care of your after hours work, so you can keep your employees on their normal schedule.

Pricing
We often receive calls asking for prices over the phone.
While this may seem like a simple request, it is something that can only be
guessed at. Every location is different and requires a walk through to determine
the actual square footage of the area, obstacles to be cleaned around, as well as the different contaminates
that need to be cleaned.
